About your General Agent…
Scott Willis serves as Knights of Columbus general agent. His agency services North and
Western Louisiana; including, the diocese of Lake Charles, Alexandria, Shreveport and
portions of the Lafayette diocese.
Scott has been a Knight since 1996 and is currently a member of Msgr. Deblanc council
4562 in Lake Charles. In his council, he has held the office of Chancellor, Warden,
Recorder, and Deputy Grand Knight. Scott is currently the Grand Knight for several 1st
degree teams. He is also a 4th degree member of Msgr Cramer’s assembly 320.
A native of Kenner, LA he graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School. He then
attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana where he earned a degree in Marketing.
Scott has been married to his wife Julie since 1988. They have four children – Jacob, Sarah,
Rachael, and Michael.
Scott began his career as a field agent with the Knights of Columbus in July of 1999. Having
seen success in that position, he was promoted to general agent in 2002. Every year since,
the agency has shown marked increases in the amount of much needed life insurance in-
force on Knights of Columbus members and families. Scott has a vision of continuing that
growth and doubling the amount of insurance in-force in his agency in the next five years.
The Willis Agency is also a certified First Degree Team that performs exemplifications within
the agency several times per year.
Scott is currently pursuing advanced education through the LUTCF and CLU programs
offered by the American College. He holds the Fraternal Insurance Councilor Fellow (FICF)
designation. Scott is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors (NAIFA) , the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors, and is a
member of the board of directors for the Louisiana Association of FIC.
